The Youth and Family Services (YFS) Youth Worker, is responsible for providing case management, mentoring and group facilitation to youth aged 12 to 21 years and/or families with children under 18 years of age. You will assist in supporting vulnerable youth and families to; re-engage in education/employment, navigate homelessness and peer relationships, develop positive life and communication skills, engage positively in community and provide referral/advocacy in basic health and wellbeing needs. 

Services are provided in alignment with the Human Services Quality Framework, Child Protection Act 1999, and with a trauma informed, client -centre and strengths-based lens, with a focus on ensuring delivery of quality evidence-based practice, maintaining staff wellbeing and professional development.

Qualifications 

Approved qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, Child Youth and Family Intervention or similar; or be working towards.
