Role Overview & Responsibilities 

Reporting to the Branch/Regional Sales Manager and National Operations Manager, our Workshop Technician is responsible for the daily operations of our Gladstone branch. 

  • Coordinate with the head office operations and managers for the delivery of hire projects and general freight between branches;
  • Manage internal and external maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on internal systems, including related purchases, stock control, and data/document control;
  • Report to managers with any issues and decisions related to hires, internal and external calibrations, repairs, and maintenance, in a timely manner;
  • Ensure calibration and testing devices are calibrated and in good working condition, troubleshooting any issues that arise;
  • Maintain the workshop and laboratory in a clean and orderly manner;
  • May need to travel to site for deliveries and maintenance which could include overnights/extended travel and work out of standard hours if/when required;
  • Understand and work within Health and Safety at Work Act;
  • Understand and work within ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standard

  • Passionate – A positive can do attitude, willingness to learn and a sense of humour;
  • Be a problem solving, proactive team player with the ability to work autonomously;
  • Trade qualifications or relative experience preferred but not essential;
  • Competent computer skills;
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills;
  • Good personal presentation and attention to detail;
  • Open Drivers License and forklift ticket;
  • You must have full working rights within Australia
  • Ability to undergo a physical/medical and drug and alcohol screening
