Our Vocational Trainer will be responsible for providing training and workshops to Workforce Development Customers who have a need to increase their proficiency in workplace essential skills, occupational math and/or basic computer skills.

Vocational training refers to instructional and hands-on programs and courses that focus on the skills required for a Job. You will also counsel customers one-on-one about job readiness, career goals and job search strategies. The position will work with an ethnically and culturally diverse population.

About You

  • Ideally come with experience providing vocational training or other relatable training to job seekers
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience within Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skills associated with using MS Word, Excel and other online client reporting systems
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a strong team
  • Skills associated with coaching, facilitating and supporting learning
  • Some regional travel between sites will be required hence valid Drivers Licence is essential as is a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or willingness to get one prior to commencement
