Visitor Experience Officer - Sarina Sugar Shed

Job Description

Sarina Sugar Shed is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Visitor Experience Officer to deliver a high standard of customer service and provide visitors with a genuine, engaging and personalised experience at the award-winning tourist facility. 

About the role:

Responsibilities of the position include conducting guided tours and product tastings (alcohol and non-alcoholic), café food and beverage preparation, retail sales, ticket bookings, and other duties to improve the visitor experience. 

This is a casual role (approximately 15-25 hours per week) with availability across 7 days (including weekends and public holidays) required as rostered.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in tourism, hospitality or retail industry including the ability to provide a high level of personalised customer service
  • QLD ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence 
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across a board range of audiences and the ability to adapt tours to meet visitors specific needs 
  • Sound computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and Point of Sale (POS) systems
