We are currently seeking experienced Transmission Supervisors/Linesman for on going maintenance and construction works in Australia, PNG and Solomon Islands. New Zealand Transmission Supervisors/Linesman are encouraged to apply for this position as well.

The successful candidate is required to display a positive customer and team focus, work effectively, participate in identifying workplace change or productivity improvements.

The role has coverage across Australia and the South Pacific, the incumbents will be required to travel within the states and overseas.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Study and interpret technical drawings, network line diagrams & maps.
  • Climbing of transmission structures.
  • Undertake maintenance inspections of electricity transmission networks in accordance with Client/Company Policies, Quality Systems and HSE procedures as well as statutory requirements.
  • Undertake minor ancillary works as required.
  • Construction of towers
  • Stringing of short sections


  • Hold a Certificate III ESI in Transmission Overhead.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and solve problems in the workplace.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Proven ability to work productively as part of a team, in a fast paced and changing workplace.
  • Driver’s License

Preferred but not essential, will provide training to the right applicants

  • Work at Heights Rescue.
  • Maintain energized lines.
  • Assembled and Erected Emergency Lyndsey Towers
  • CPR trained.
  • Dogging & Rigging license.
  • Relevant state electrical license.
  • High risk work license.

Salary range $150 -$200k. This role will suit a highly motivated and engaging individual who is results driven and thrives in a fast-paced working environment.

The successful applicant will be paid a base salary rate of $100,000 per year plus superannuation whilst working in Australia. Whilst working in PNG, substantial LAHA will be paid and and an increase of the base rate will be applied. The average monthly rate Onshore (Overseas) is $20,400 per month plus superannuation. All meals, flights and accommodation are supplied by Pacific Energy Group.

The Solomon Islands will have the $100,000 plus superannuation base rate applied to the applicant (Including Meals and Accommodation), as the Pacific Energy Group have no current Tier 1 Contracts or Clients in place at this present time. Due to substantial geo-political activity occurring in this region. It is likely that  Major Tier One Clients and Contracts will be released in a short to medium time period. Once the Tier One Clients and Contracts have been secured, the PNG rate will apply.
