Location:- Gladstone – 12 month contract

About the role:

The Central Queensland Coal Network is entering a critical change phase with the implementation of multiple technology and transformation initiatives. As a result, we are seeking the expertise of a Transformation Specialist / Continuous Improvement Project Manager to coordinate and deliver cost benefits to the business.  Reporting to the Business Performance Leader you will work with a team of Transformational Specialists to ensure projects are successfully implemented, whilst having full responsibility for the management of scope, cost and quality. 

 The role will be accountable for;

  • Assist with the identification, prioritisation and implementation of improvement activities.
  • Lead the analysis of project and operational requirements, investigate innovative solutions and provide guidance to managers and employees.
  • Lead and coordinate the review and reporting of initiative progress to senior management and/or stakeholders and ensure ongoing alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Document As-Is and To-Be processes
  • Drive effective working relationships with customers, internal and external clients at a middle management level to ensure improvement initiatives are in keeping with wider business objectives
  • Drive collaboration across functions and regions to ensure consistent application of improvement activities across the enterprise and standardise

About you: 

  • Ideally you will have applied process improvement methodologies (e.g. lean / six sigma)
  • Exposure to BPMN and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) process mapping methods
  • Project management experience including PM qualifications would be well regarded
  • Change management experience including CM qualifications such as Prosci, would be well regarded
  • You possess excellent data analytical capability
  • You are an experienced influencer, able to connect and implement change with a range of stakeholders and environments.
  • You have experience with identifying and managing risks to mitigate impact to program delivery.
  • You are values driven and results focused, with the ability to coordinate resources to meet deadlines.
  • High Level of interpersonal skills to communicate cross functionally. 
  • Effective business acumen, strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team and build relationships for results.
