How will you contribute to ensuring access to justice for all?
We are looking for a full-time Trainee Legal Assistant to join a purpose-driven firm, where you can feel your impact from day one. Based in our Rockhampton office and reporting to the Senior Legal Assistant & Office Coordinator you will be a driven and motivated individual who is eager to learn and has a keen interest in Personal Injury Law. Our culture enables learning, adapting, and trying new things, so we will start you off with reception duties, such as answering calls, greeting clients, sorting the mail and managing diaries, and once you are confident with these responsibilities we will teach you how to support the team by learning how to draft correspondence and legal documents, book Medico-legal appointments, produce file notes, prepare client bills and so much more!
The experience we are looking for
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Previous administrative or receptionist experience is desirable but not essential;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills;
- Good problem-solving skills;
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills;
- Ability to work as part of a hardworking team; and
- An understanding of court processes and systems would be highly regarded.
