Great opportunity for an experienced Recruiter to join our Trade Talent Scout team, based in Gladstone, Central QLD.

Through our Business Talent Scout ("white-collar") and Trade Talent Scout ("blue-collar") recruitment services, we assist businesses to recruit and retain high-calibre candidates for "hard-to-fill" roles, primarily in the Construction, Civil, Engineering and Manufacturing sectors.

The opportunity

You will be part of our "Trade Talent Scout" division which is focused on the placement of Experienced, Trade-Qualified candidates for the construction, civil and manufacturing sectors.  We provide "fee-for-service" permanent and contract recruitment, where our candidates become employees of our clients - we are not a labour hire business.

We partner and work-closely with a group of high-quality, growing employers, accross the Central Queensland region.  Our approach is highly consultative and advice-focussed, to achieve the right win/win outcomes for our candidates and clients.  The market is booming at the moment and the outlook is strong, so we are looking for the right person to join our successful, growing team.

For the first 6 months, the role will be based full-time at our office in Gladstone but after this period and subject to meeting the required performance results, there is the opportunity to work on a "hybrid" basis - 3 days from the office and 2 days from home if you wish.

Your skills and experience

Ideally, you come from construction / civil engineering / manufacturing recruitment background and have at least 5 years experience in recruitment.  However candidates with experience in other sectors or aspects of recruitment, employment services, or talent aquisition may be considered.  

As an experienced recruiter you will be well are of the significant demand for skilled and experienced tradespeople and as a result we have a plethora of vacancies.  However quality candidates are in short supply, so this Trade Talent Advisor role will suit a pro-active, self-motivated, "hunter" who is able to source and build relationships with candiates, understand their needs and match them with the right career opportunities.  This is a "270 degree recruiter" role, so you will also work with clients to manage and develop relationships but new client business development is not a key component.
