Location: Gladstone

About the role:

  • Install, maintain and repair the overhead traction power equipment in accordance with predefined work programs
  • Coordinate Site protection and manage Safeworking as well as implement & manage environmental protection
  • Maintain all records and associated documentation relating to asset condition, maintenance programs and costing systems
  • Report on actual work performed against scheduled work program and equipment
  • Progress the implementation and application of work procedures in pursuit of ensuring continuous quality improvement
  • Assist in and carry out, where qualified, the installation, maintenance and repair of trackside systems, equipment and infrastructure in accordance with procedure
  • Identify and advise of any exceptions relating to the performance of assets
  • 9 on / 5 off roster – day shift only with overtime required
  • Travel across Central Queensland Coal Network (CQCN) for scheduled maintenance and closures
  • Residential role – FIFO is NOT offered for this position

About you: 

  • Electrical Trade Qualification (Mandatory)
  • Certificate III in Rail Traction (Highly Desirable) & QLD Electrical Licence – Traction Linesperson (Highly Desirable)
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence (Mandatory) and HR Truck Licence (Advantageous)
  • High Risk Work Licence including Rigging, Dogging and EWP
  • Substantial knowledge of overhead traction power equipment and relevant maintenance & installation standards
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • High regard for safety & knowledge of WHS
  • Previous supervisory experience (highly regarded)
