The Role
Your mission will be to give children, young people and families the best possible chance at a safe and stable life from which to thrive.
As a Therapeutic Case Worker, you will provide guidance to foster and kinship carers on their fostering journey through meetings and ongoing support. Support will be through coaching, mentoring, training and modelling; along with the facilitation and coordination of available supports.
A Therapeutic Case Worker is responsible for ensuring the achievement of agreed and planned individual permanency outcome for a caseload of children and young people (CYP) supported through the Specialised/Intensive Foster Care program.
The role involves working with CYP with a range of developmental, behavioural and psychological needs together with their families, carers and support teams, providing support through coaching, mentoring, training and modelling; along with the facilitation and coordination of available supports.
The Therapeutic Case Worker will undertake comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments, formulate hypotheses and goals based on the assessment information, develop evidence-based and integrated support plans, implement those plans through a combination of facilitating effective support, education and intervention whilst ensuring the safety, welfare and wellbeing of the CYP.

You will possess, or be working towards, a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or another relevant discipline.
We are looking for someone who is empathetic yet capable of problem solving on the fly while having strong communication skills, especially when working with Volunteers (Carers) - all at once! This role also requires comfortability utilising various computer programs.
