About the Role
We are currently seeking a Technician Site Systems to join our high performing and motivated team at Goonyella, this is a residential fulltime position working Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Superintendent Site Systems the primary focus of this role is to support the management of the Safety and Health Management System on site.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring Mine Record administration is maintained and up to date
- Execute various processes and practices to maintain SHMS, risk management and regulatory reporting compliance
- Liaise with various departments and personnel within the business to ensure processes and practices are understood and upheld
- Provide administrative support to the Site Systems Specialists and Superintendent as required
About You
We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership and communication skills. Your interpersonal skills will foster collaborative working relationships and your ability to consolidate and analyse information will provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude.
You will have access to technology that will enable you to work flexibly, which is key to BHP's success in addressing the requirements of a diverse workforce.
Key requirements include:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the mining industry or alike is highly regarded
- Basic understanding of Coal Mining Safety and Health legislation and risk management practices
- Proficient computer literacy with the ability to use multi systems inclusive of Microsoft office suite (1SAP, EMS and Documentum highly regarded)
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate to stakeholders at various levels
- Strong attention to detail
