Support Officer

About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking expressions of interest for Support Officer roles at a Bowen Basin Mine to form part of and contribute to a dynamic Site Support Team providing high level administrative support to Superintendents, Supervisors and Crews.

These roles will be working a Monday to Friday roster and residential to Dysart, Entry Level or Experienced are encouraged to apply. 

The Support Officer role will appeal to those who have a high standard of delivery in their work, a proactive attitude, can work autonomously but also be an active part of the team in the Department you are assigned to. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops and events (internal + external) 
  • PowerPoint slide pack collation
  • Attend meetings and take Actions
  • Book meeting rooms or external venues for workshops
  • Order catering
  • Setup of room/event
  • Field Leadership Coordination/Activity Support
  • Calendar Management, setting up routines to support WILO’s
  • On-Boarding logistics for new-starters to ensure first day readiness
  • Placing and tracking PPE Orders
  • Book charter flights and camp accommodation through internal Travel Portal
  • Book commercial flights and accommodation through AMEX Travel system
  • Site Visitor and or Site Access logistics
  • Printout & update visual boards
  • Prepare ‘Return to Work’ & Prestart packs in PowerPoint
  • Maintain crew lists and HR data through Organisation Chart & other Site Systems
  • Monitor training requirements to ensure competence of team members (training matrix)
  • Review and manage Distribution Lists
  • Raise and manage purchase requisitions/orders incl warehouse reservations
  • AMEX Card Reconciliations
  • Assist in formatting & submission of Information/Event Briefs 
  • Establish strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Responding to emails and general enquires on behalf of the Superintendents or Supervisors
  • Ad-hoc project support and administrative duties as required

 

About You: 

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in SAP, Sap Concur; FIORI; Webex; Corvus will be an advantage
  • Ability to pass a full Coal Board Medical and Standard 11
  • Residential Accommodation in Dysart
  • Be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication and organisation skills
  • A current ''C'' class Drivers Licence
  • Full Rights to Work within Australia
