About your role

We have an exciting opportunity for a frontline leader to join the Turnaround team in the Maintenance Services department.  Our focus is on safety and wellbeing and we are looking for a leader who makes safety, culture, support, compassion and mentoring their number one priority.

Leading on the frontline is one of the most important jobs in our business and comes with a vast amount of responsibility.  Reporting directly to the Superintendent – Turnaround, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by: 

  • Leading and developing a team to be focussed, committed and highly motivated to maintain effective and efficient production
  • Recommending safety improvements and co-ordinating activities to eliminate hazards
  • Developing effective relationships with operational, maintenance and technical teams within the department and across site
  • Planning and organising work to meet daily business targets

What you will bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you should have: 

  • Demonstrated experience as a safety leader with a passion to influence safe working methods amongst your team
  • Commitment to meet safety, environment and business targets
  • The ability to successfully work within a team environment and build effective working relationships with your team, peers, leaders and stakeholders
  • Excellent operational decision making and problem-solving skills combined with a desire to succeed in challenging situations
  • The ability to effectively communicate, engage and build trust with your team, peers, leaders and stakeholders
