About the Role

Reporting to the Crew Supervisor, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. This position is proficient in the operation of majority of machinery and equipment on site including the dozer, grader, loader and excavator and demonstrates ownership of their work area. This role consistently assists with the coaching and developing other Operators and is accountable for the safety & efficiency of their circuit.

Roster: 7/7, 10.5 hour shifts, rotating Day / Night

Skills and Experience
  • Sound communication skills within a mining environment
  • Skilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issues
  • Previous experience in the operation and maintenance of plant and machinery within a mining or heavy industry environment (5yrs + desirable)
Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of individual responsibilities in relation to the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations.
  • Sound understanding of hazard identification
  • Applicable Coal Competencies
  • Current Standard 11 Mine Induction (Surface)
  • Current Queensland Driver's licence
