The Position:
We are looking for an experience site supervisor or project engineer to join our Gladstone team. You will work on a range of mining, ports and infrastructure (bridges, roads, rail) projects, providing onsite QA QC support.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity in a highly regarded and established consultancy that values its staff, invests in their professional development and rewards generously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project supervision for work for our clients in the Gladstone region.
- Development of capital plan, operating and capital expenditure budgets.
- Supervising construction projects with a key focus on safety, budget, schedule and quality.
- Review of concrete mix designs and batch plant QA QC.
- Mentor engineers and site supervisors working alongside you on site.
- Acting as client contact for specific projects.
Selection Criteria:
Whilst there will be on-the-job training, the successful applicant will ideally have:
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a trade qualification and background;
- Working at heights certificate;
- Project management/supervision qualification;
- 10+ years' experience in a site supervision or project engineering role in the ports or resources sector;
- Understanding/experience on major construction projects;
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
- Strong attention to detail and take pride in their work;
- Open unrestricted drivers licence;
- MSIC (highly advantageous);
- Be currently residing in Australia; and
- Fluent in English.
