ABOUT THE ROLE
Origin is leading the transition to net zero through clean energy and customer solutions. Gas forms an essential part of the energy mix during the transition and Origin, via the Integrated Gas Business Unit, is continuing to invest in gas exploration and production throughout Australia.
Origin currently have two site engineer positions, situated on site at either Spring Gully or Reedy Creek.
The Site Engineer will take technical ownership and develop intimate knowledge of Spring Gully/Reedy Creek equipment, whilst providing technical and process safety advice to Facility Operations.
More about the role:
- Provide technical and process safety advice to Facility and Field Operations
- Monitor process equipment to ensure correct operating envelopes
- Identify opportunities to optimise production, improve safety and lower costs; and
- Develop and implement small technical changes and projects
- Investigate Process Safety Incidents
ABOUT YOU
You will be able to demonstrate that you're a team player, focused on collaboration with excellent communication (written and verbal). You will enjoy working collaboratively with a broad range of people across the organisation, especially site operational personnel. You will have strong analytical, problem solving and improvement implementation skills and be capable of working autonomously.
More about you:
- 5+ Years' Experience in Engineering (Process Engineering highly desired)
- Operating experience working with Upstream Oil & Gas unit operations - specific experience with CSG Operations, pressure vessels and piping, Centrifugal Compression, TEG Dehydration, Air compression & nitrogen systems, Water Treatment highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience with Management of Change processes in an Operational environment
- Experience in Operations, Optimisation, Commissioning and Projects all highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience working with Process Safety issues in an operational environment
Whilst it is our preference that this is a live local role on a 2:2 roster - which means the successful candidate will either be based in the Maranoa Region, or be able to relocate there, all applications will be considered.
