Our client is a well-respected engineering consultancy firm specialising in Mining, Marine, Transport and Heavy Industry civil and structural projects.
Due to business growth they are currently seeking a Site Engineer with a strong project/structural background and solid site-based experience to join the team for a full time opportunity based at the Gladstone or Mackay site location.
The ideal candidate will provide structural engineering services to new and existing clients and will be able to work confidently with minimal supervision to provide technical support, risk management, identify opportunities and build strong relationships.
In this role, you will:
Undertake structural concrete and steel condition audits of Mining/port/transport infrastructure (For e.g- Roms, bunds, tunnels, berths, dolphins and footings)
Work with clients and onsite contractors to scope, prepare and execute routine structural integrity inspection tasks
Prepare/approve Job Hazard Analysis', Work Method statements, Field Safety Plans and similar safety documentation for all site and testing work
Actively seek out new business opportunities and progress new leads to quotation
Develop positive and trusting strategic relationships with clients
Ensure that work is completed in accordance with company and client policy/procedures
Undertake inspection/site investigation activities and prepare detailed findings report
Be willing to travel and occasionally on short notice
Key Selection Criteria
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience conducting site investigations, condition audits and writing technical reports
Minimum 2 years in a site based role and 5 years Engineering experience
Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilities
Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural)
Exceptional communication, time management and interpersonal skills
Key Systems Used- 12D Synergy, SPACE GASS, Strand 7, Revit, AutoCAD, Microstation
