Reporting to the Contracts & Accommodation Superintendent, the Senior Contracts Coordinator will be responsible for the application of the Glencore Procure to Pay standard for Contractors and Suppliers engaged to provide goods and services on Site.  The opportunity is a site-based Monday to Friday role with attractive company housing or Village accommodation options offered.

Key responsibilities include:
Coordination of tendering activities including supplier identification, negotiation, analysis, and leading the award phase.
Managing supplier performance via KPI reporting, analysis and supporting with variations and dispute management.
Undertaking market intelligence to identify preferred suppliers of goods and services.
Provision of support and training to internal stakeholders in relation to the supply of goods and services.
Departmental analysis of contractor spend and recommendations to site management.
Identification and communication of continuous improvement opportunities in cost and productivity criteria.

As a successful candidate you will possess tertiary qualifications in law or commerce and over 5 years experience in related procurement or contracts roles in a mining or industrial work environment.  You will have a demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement and be proficient in MS Office suite, SAP/Fiori or related software or management systems.  You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  Attainment of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply qualifications would be highly regarded.
