Secondary Teachers 2023 - Marist College

Marist College, Emerald is a secondary Catholic College within the Diocese of Rockhampton. At Marist College we offer a uniquely rewarding teaching experience with a suite of incentives. Emerald is a short 3-hour drive west of Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast, and boasts many attractions including lush botanical gardens, shopping complexes and community based events for the whole family.

We are seeking full-time and part-time Classroom Teachers in the following subject areas (or any combination of these subjects) for commencement on 16 January 2023. An ability to teach Religious Education would be an advantage.  Full-time and part-time continuing, and contract positions are available: 

  • English
  • HASS
  • Digital
  • Visual Art
  • Physical Education
  • Science
  • Mathematics
  • Industrial Technology (Design, Wood & Engineering)
    Study of Religion and Religious Education
  • Japanese

For Teachers in the VET areas, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) is desirable.

Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to providing quality Catholic education and learning based on a personal faith as well as be a highly trained and qualified professional with significant experience in the provision of high-quality educational programs. You will have well developed organisational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work well in a team, as well as the ability to work independently.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and current Queensland College of Teachers Registration
  • Australian work rights
