About the role

The Relationship Manager is responsible for actively managing and growing a portfolio of accounts through customer acquisition, cross-sell and referrals. The Relationship Manager will collaborate with product partners and other stakeholders to ensure an effective and value adding strategy is identified for our customers, whilst managing risks appropriately within ANZ frameworks.

The role is accountable for:

  • Grow the business through new customer acquisition and developing strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Proactively develop and maintain a detailed understanding of your customers business and financial needs.
  • Keep abreast of key economic trends impacting the industries.
  • Develop effective working relationships with overseas colleagues to deliver seamless services to customers.
  • Actively participate in meetings, support the Commercial strategic agenda and provide advice and guidance to new employees.

Role Location: Rockhampton or Emerald QLD Role Type: 12-month Secondment / Fixed-Term opportunity, Full-time

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and credit assessment skills incorporation (background of sound business banking)
  • Fair level of experience in a corporate/SME or business banking environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of small/medium business needs and expectations
  • Ability to work autonomously, work with a team and solve problems quickly
