The Opportunity

 

Civmec continues to grow and secure major projects across Australia. We are excited for our future growth and as a result, we have a current vacancy for an experienced Area Manager to oversee and support the delivery of all of Civmec' s maintenance, shutdown and refractory work in Queensland . Reporting to our Executive General manager and based in Gladstone , this position will oversee all Regional projects and have direct accountability and influence for project delivery within the maintenance sector.

 

Key accountabilities will include:

 

Project management including bid leadership, project delivery and execution
Client engagement and relationship development
Interface with internal strategy and development leads to source and secure project opportunities
Commercial negotiation including contract establishment and administration
Recruitment, selection, coaching, mentoring and performance management of project teams
Formal progress reporting including weekly and monthly reports
Statutory compliance including governance and reporting
Quality control and inspection
Drive and lead a culture of safety and health leadership

About you:

 

Previous contractor experience backed with relevant trade or tertiary qualifications
Exposure to a board range of maintenance work
Team focused approach with a high level of commitment
Proven people leadership and stakeholder engagement capability
