We are driving change and innovation within our business, empowering, and developing our people and have an exciting new opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our Gold Coast team.

The Role:

We are seeking a well organised Production Supervisor who is responsible for leading and managing daily production operations and ensuring safety, quality and operational standards are achieved efficiently and effectively. - based on the Gold Coast at Burleigh Heads.

In this role you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with all other departments. You will have 5 Team Leaders reporting into this position. We are running 6-7 lines depending on demand and processing 50-60 tonne of product per day

The shifts: Monday to Friday, 5.00am and 9:00am starts across 5 days. You will need to flexible across both shifts.

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Training and guiding a diverse range of production team members
  • Maintaining and driving a safe work culture across the production floor
  • Labour control and managing staffing requirements
  • Collaboratively promote and contribute to a range of key performance criteria e.g., Quality control, efficiency, and continuous improvement strategies
  • Manage employee performance and development
  • Communicate job expectations and train employees and ensure that assigned tasks are completed accurately
  • Identify areas of improvement.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Experience in a similar role and high-volume environment - red meat industry will be highly regarded
  • Highly developed leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to actively manage meeting the daily production plan to customer specification while adhering to quality assurance protocols and deadlines
  • Strong planning, organizational and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to implement process and improvement initiatives
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done and proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
