Principal Network Engineer

Job Description

Mackay Regional Council is looking for a highly motivated individual with an engineering background with confirmed leadership skills. 


The successful candidate will manage resources within the Program to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness asset operations and performance (including asset management planning). Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and aiming to optimise and improve service delivery to ensure Water and Waste Services meet targets and objectives in both the Mackay Regional Council’s Corporate and Operational Plans.


This position will lead a multi-disciplinary team that provides knowledge of asset maintenance practices and operations on water and wastewater assets throughout the Mackay Region.


To be successful, you will have formal Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline, a current drivers licence and membership to the Institution of Engineers (Australia). 


Candidates who hold a Certificate IV or above in Business Management or related field, and or Root Cause Analysis, ICAM or similar investigation qualifications will be highly regarded.
