About your role

QAL has an opportunity for a Maintenance Planner to join our Planning team. Reporting directly to the Supervisor – Planning Utilities & Services, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:

  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures
  • Completing all aspects of the planning and scheduling of work on equipment and systems in an operational section of the plant
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to maintain the assets through monitoring and creation of maintenance plans to meet the required strategy, scoping of work, setting short term and long-term schedules and arranging all resources required to execute the strategy
  • Utilising your technical knowledge to meet production and cost targets that are achievable and agreed while ensuring asset integrity
  • Developing budgets and monthly forecasts for assigned assets 
  • Maintaining the Maintenance Master Data system (SAP)


What you will bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you should have:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Electrical trade qualifications are preferred 
  • Tertiary qualifications in either Engineering, Asset Maintenance Management or Project Management would be advantageous 
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to build working relationships with stakeholders 
  • Excellent organisational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office suite and SAP is desirable
