The Opportunity
Our Mackay Community Pharmacy boasts the great outdoors! A beautiful location, home to a section of the Great Barrier Reef and tropical islands that are rich in marine life. As the Pharmacist, you will play an important role in the North Queensland region by providing a diverse range of professional services and supporting the growth of this Community Pharmacy. This opportunity is perfect for a driven Pharmacy professional that is looking is looking to maximise both their career and lifestyle at the same time!
What you’ll do (but not limited to)
- Provide dispensary operations, pharmacy services, and medication supply, catering to the needs of our valued patients and customers in the Mackay region.
- Educating staff and counselling patients on medication usage
- Participating in a wide range of professional services and health promotion campaigns (sleep apnea, diabetes, pain management, meds checks, vaccination services, and a growing aged care portfolio)
- Supporting and providing direction to Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants, including inventory management and order processing
What you’ll bring
- Current Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
- Previous pharmacy experience - community pharmacy preferred
- An injection certificate or experience with vaccinations is highly regarded
- You love working in a team, and collaborating with others to deliver excellent care
- You are engaged, flexible, responsive – and you like working with others just like you.
It is a mandatory requirement that you have:
- Up to date COVID-19 vaccinations using vaccines approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- Proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
