We’re seeking Assistants in Nursing, Support Workers, Personal Carers motivated to deliver outstanding care to our day respite clients in Biloela.
The current opportunity would suit care professionals looking to secure casual or permanent part-time employment and motivated to expand their experience in aged care.
As part of our Day Respite team you’ll deliver individualised support & group activities to clients while allowing their carers to take some very important time out to recharge.
No two days are ever the same in our respite centres and you may find yourself transporting clients on outings to the library, galleries or parks, or local community events. You might find yourself in the centre assisting with lunch. Whatever your day brings you’ll be promoting clients’ independence by assisting them with their choice of activity, based on their individualised plan.
What you’ll need
Previous experience within respite care is highly-regarded. Knowledge and exposure to clients with dementia and disabilities is also an advantage. You’ll have:
- Certificate III Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Disability Support
- Blue Card and NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
- Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
- Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
