Pastry Chefs and Bakers

Job Description

We are looking for experienced Pastry Chefs and Bakers to join our client in Mackay, QLD. 

In this hands on roles, the chosen candidates must:
  • Ensure food preparation and quality is of the highest standard possible
  • Manage stock levels and follow company procedures and recipe guidelines
  • Ensure hygiene is maintained to the required standards
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen during and after service
  • Assist the head chef in cost control and assist in ensuring budgeted profit and targets are met.
  • Able to work unsupervised and harmoniously with the rest of the brigade
To be successful for this role you will possess the following:
  • Minimum of three years post qualification experience in prep and a la carte essential 
  • Appropriate trade qualifications
  • Experience in fast paced, service and quality focused venues
  • Guest orientated and passionate about food
  • Sound knowledge of food hygiene practices
  • The ability to work well under pressure with an eye for detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, relatively good English communication skills
  • Possess a positive attitude and work well as a part of the team
IMMEDIATE START

The positions are full time, $55-$70K a year salary depending on the position and experience.
