We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced PUD Operations Manager based in Mackay, Queensland.

As the PUD Operations Manager you will successfully manage a pickup and deliveries of the fleet you will be responsible for all pickup and delivery functions for the terminal (including liaising with Straightline for best cost options), ensuring optimum and safe operating effectiveness of people and equipment. The PUD manager will also be responsible for the overall presentation and operation of the PUD fleet.
To be successful in this role, you will ensure the efficiencies of the following:
Customer – Customer satisfaction is achieved through complete and accurate documentation, professional handling of freight, achieving delivery times and meeting or exceeding service standards.
Activities of the PUD team are both proactive and responsible to the needs of customers both internally and externally so as to enable the on-going success and growth of the unit.
Operations - Relevant policies, and legislative requirements that are either posted or made available to appropriate staff are understood and complied with so as to protect the Company’s interests, including Dangerous Good Legislation, Transport regulations, Industrial Relations legislation, driving hours, load restraint, mass management and WPH&S are followed & adhered to.
People- Management of the PUD team and activities including onboarding.
Financial - Responsible for the achievement of agreed PUD budgeted targets as measured by a series of branch KPI’s.
Compliance - Maintain an up to date working knowledge of all legislative compliance requirements (inclusive of environmental) that impact the business.
Ensure that the appropriate components of Trucksafe that relate to PUD are managed effectively in conjunction with the NQX Trucksafe Manual, in order to ensure Branch accreditation.
- Experience in a similar role and/or transport/logistics industry exposure preferred
- Strong decision-making abilities
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex scenarios
- Good verbal & written skills
- Excellent leadership and motivation skills
- Sound knowledge of OH&S principles and legal responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite
- Safety & compliance knowledge
