Your Opportunity:

DoE OT's apply professional skills and knowledge and collaborate with education teams within schools to deliver high quality occupational therapy services, which address barriers to student learning and enhance educational outcomes.

OTs develop supportive relationships with students, educational personnel and their families to enable them to achieve their potential.

The successful applicant will have a career in paediatrics and an entirely paediatric caseload. You will be able to develop your knowledge and skills in paediatrics and disability with access to:

About the occupational therapy service:

  • Support schools and students across Central Queensland in a broad range of areas including handwriting, using technology, sensory processing, play and social engagement, self-care skills, planning for school excursions, and transitioning to and between schools.
  • Work alongside other occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech language pathologists, registered nurses and guidance officers.
  • Contribute to a wide variety of school teams to support a child's education journey from early childhood development programs to year 12.
  • Liaise with NDIS providers, Queensland Health and outreach services to support the student's access to services and goal achievement across settings.
