Multiskilled Operator - Loader

Job Description

Mackay Regional Council are currently seeking an Experienced Multiskilled Operator to join the Civil Operations team based at the Mirani Depot. 


We are looking for someone who has experience on roads and drainage mainly unsealed roads maintenance with extensive experience on different plant machinery.


The successful candidate must hold the relevant Licence/tickets to operate road construction plant and/or equipment with a minimum of 2 from either skid steer loader, roller, loader, backhoe, or grader in order to be considered as this is not an entry level position.


In return for your valued contribution, you will receive:

  • Base annual salary from $57,373 plus allowances as applicable 
  • Up to 18% superannuation (conditions apply)

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Current General Construction Safety "White" Card
  • Current QLD Heavy Rigid Truck ‘HR’ Class Licence
  • Current Traffic Controllers Ticket
  • Certificate of Competencies skid steer loader, roller, loader, backhoe, or grader
  • Extensive experience in driving single axle trucks in varying road conditions
  • Extensive experience in operating road construction plant e.g. roller, backhoe, loader
  • Extensive experience in construction/maintenance of roads and drainage infrastructure
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction
