Mine Technician - Dragline Operator
We currently have vacancies for experienced Dragline Operators at our Dawson Mine in Moura QLD.
Metallurgical coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate two open cut and three underground metallurgical coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, every year producing millions of tonnes of the highest quality hard coking coal for this purpose.
You will work as part of a team operating our BE1370 & Marion 8200 Draglines whilst demonstrating safe working behaviours and practices to achieve set targets.
To be successful in this role you will ensure compliance with all Anglo American safety and operating systems and a commitment to working together as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
You will possess at least three (3) years’ experience operating draglines and be a proficient dozer operator.
You will display excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with being a team player in safely achieving targets. You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge in dragline set up, operations and dig methods to achieve machine optimization and improve performance.
You will be required to provide proof of your operating experience.
