About your new role:

As our new Electrical Supervisor of Metering for Mackay and Rockhampton, you will lead field-based teams, including employees and contractors, to deliver installation, connection, maintenance, and investigation activities safely and efficiently.

You will use your trade-based skills and management expertise to grow and nurture a culture within the group that aligns with our values and directly contributes to our ultimate success and growth throughout Australia.

In this role, you will drive effective leadership, coach, and mentor, and manage people by role modelling Yurika values while actively supporting our business and the Yurika Leadership team.

You will engage customers and stakeholders, deliver assigned elements of the program of work and projects, and provide effective change management. You will provide effective and efficient day-to-day management of the works depot/facilities, fleet, and field sites, ensuring appropriate management of safety, access, maintenance, and security procedures are followed and upheld by the workgroup.

In addition, you will manage and coordinate on-site field activities for emergency and corrective work, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate a personal commitment to health, safety, and the environment.

About you

Ideally, you possess a QLD/Australian equivalent Electrical Workers & Contractors Licensing Board Electrical Mechanic Certification. Additionally, you hold a C class driver’s licence and have a track record of improving safety, environmental performance, WH&S, quality, and legal compliance.

You inspire your team to excel and contribute to organisational change initiatives while driving productivity improvements.

Your knowledge of electrical systems, electrical distribution, and customer installations ensures that you can provide sound recommendations and guidance on appropriate safety leadership and site management. Collaboration and progression are essential, and you work closely with electrical supervisors metering (and WGLs), delivery leads, project managers, and resourcing managers to address any immediate resourcing gaps.

You are also adept at developing and supporting property and operational services representatives with fleet equipment and supply, trials, implementations, and delivery of scheduled testing services. Building and leading a high-performing team is second nature to you, and you have a knack for performance management and development planning while maintaining high employee engagement standards.
