THE ROLE AND THE TEAM
Our Security Guards are required to observe and report activities that contravene the proper operation of the site they are based on. We expect that our Security Guards acquaint themselves with all happenings on site and that they respond to and take necessary action at all incidents that contravene site policies and procedures.
Based at Curtis Island, our Security Guards will be responsible for gatehouse duties, access control, issue passes, maintaining visitor logs, assist with any facility management issues and general reporting.
THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
In order to carry out this role, the following skills, qualifications and experience are required:
Certificate II in Security Operations
Current Queensland Security Licence
Current Level II certificate in First Aid
Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) + Awareness Training
QLD Driver's License
(note: the below will need to be obtained if successful in the role)
Marine Radio Operators Certificate (desirable)
Certificated Drug and Alcohol Tester (desirable)
Operate Light Vehicle Training (desirable)
All applicants must be willing to undertake the G4S Recruitment & Compliance process which includes providing 2 years' worth of employment/background verifications, pre-employment medical assessment and passing a National Police Check.
