About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager for our North Goonyella Mine.
Our North Goonyella Mine is being restarted and will be an underground longwall mine located 160 kilometres west of Mackay producing a premium quality, high strength coking coal for export markets. This role is your opportunity to get onto this high profile project and set the foundation of the HR systems and processes for a high value operating mine in the future.
Reporting to the Director of HR Operations - Australia, this position will be responsible for providing expert HR advice to the site leadership team across employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, employee engagement and retention, recruitment, training and development,.
The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a 9 day fortnight (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle. Employees living residentially may have access to a $15,000 housing allowance and may have the ability to utilise other remote area tax benefits including salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments. About you:
- Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or similar
- Experience in a site-based HR generalist role covering IR, ER, workforce planning, performance management, recruitment, cultural change, organisational development and HR reporting will be highly regarded
- Exposure to a blue collar workforce
- Demonstrated success facilitating cultural change, previous success in fostering a direct engagement culture will be highly regarded
- Excellent communicator, strong interpersonal and influencing skills with a customer service focus
- Excellent planning and organising skills
- Collaborative and natural communicator, with a positive approach to daily tasks
