About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor – Cranes / Rigging will lead and manage the Rigging and Cranes maintenance team on a live LNG facility based on Curtis Island, Central Queensland.

Ensure the team follow all permit to work policies, procedures and work practices as required by UGL and the Client including Permit to Work (PTW)/Lock Out, Tag Out/ Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)/ Pre-Start/ Hand Over and Hand Back Processes/ and input to other required safety processes
Review and approve all JHA for the team. Lead the safety observation program. Ensure that field task risk assessments are undertaken are of a high standard
Report all safety incidents in a timely and prompt manner and be actively involved; lead incident investigation and improvement activities
Ensure team adherence to all Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) policies, procedures and identified work practices as required by UGL and the Client
Actively look to create a continuous improvement learning culture for the team
Proactively developing customer relationships by making efforts to listen to and understand the customer (both internal and external); anticipating and providing solutions to customer needs; giving high priority to customer satisfaction
Ensure team adherence to the Client maintenance policies and maintenance procedures.
Coordinate the day-to-day activity of the crane and rigging team as per the schedule. Identify and report deviations to the scheduler and initiate corrective action as required to bring the performance back onto plan
Coordinate the work team to respond promptly to changes in the schedule created by corrective maintenance activities
Actively participate in planning activities; daily, weekly, monthly and shutdown as required providing a productive plan for your work team
Collecting and entering information to the clients Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other information and communication systems as established with the work procedures. This will include amongst other activities ensuring that the team accurately enters job history into the CMMS, print shop papers and the closes out work orders
Ensure the team participate and assist in preparing and updating work instructions, procedures, equipment maintenance strategies, spare parts, special tool requirements and preservation plans
Lead team development processes to deliver a high performance team culture
Provide regular and timely communication to the team and individuals on performance; opportunities for improvement and general contract, UGL and Client performance.  Provide the time to monitor team health and identify opportunities to improve communication, support and morale of the team
Manage the team to appropriately cover normal work requirements, leave, breakdown and emergency manning requirements
Ensure the team meets training requirements by maintaining systems for monitoring training competence and compliance

About You

Open Mobile Slewing Crane High Risk Crane Operator (C0) License (TLILIC4011A)
License to Perform Dogging (CPCCLDG3001A)
License to Perform Rigging – Advanced Level (CPCCLRG4001A)
EWP WP – 11m and over certificate (TLILIC2005A)
Work Safely at Heights certified (RIIWHS204D)
Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
UD License, Heavy Vehicle License
C Class Drivers’ License. Rigid Truck Drivers’ License

The following skills are desirable for the successful applicant:

Experience as a Supervisor of Crane and Rigging activities and teams. 10 years’ plus experience ideally in an Oil & Gas environment
Experience as a Crane Operator and Rigger in an Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical or a continuous processing plant is essential. Preferable experience in continuous Oil & Gas; Hydrocarbon plant
Minimum 10 years’ experience Open Mobile Slewing Crane operation; 10 years’ experience Rigging at Advanced Level
Capable to prepare Lift Studies to the standard required by regulation and the Client
License to operate Tele-handler (TLILIC3006A)
Senior First Aid certified. (3 yearly)
Fork lift certificate (TLILIZC2001A or TLILC108A (LF) High Risk)
First response to fire incidents trained. (3 yearly; CPPFES2005A)
Confined Space Entry (RIIWHS202D) and Confined Space Watcher (RIIRIS201D; MSAPMPER200C) certified
Breathing Apparatus trained and certified
