Located 38 kilometres south of Mackay, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Pty Ltd operates with a name plate capacity of 85 million tonnes per annum exporting coal from Central Queensland to ports around the world. This wouldn’t be possible without great people - people just like you.
This leadership role is a key member of the Asset Management (ASM) team at DBCT P/L. Working with internal and external stakeholders, the successful candidate would be responsible for the management of a multidiscipline project and maintenance team. With a focus on Major Shutdowns and Projects, you are required to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of work in line with safety, budget, quality, operating and cost targets.
In addition, the role is responsible for the management of the Major Maintenance budget, is required to operate within DBCT P/L’s contractor management systems, demonstrate leadership and coaching with all stakeholders to ensure the expectations of DBCT P/L’s safety management system are consistently achieved.
An expectation of the role is to regularly interact with other Operational and ASM teams to proactively contribute to annual business planning cycles, asset strategy processes and identify, promote and deliver maintenance repairs during planned outages and opportune maintenance periods.
Ideally, the successful person will have:
Demonstrated leadership and risk management skills as well as extensive commercial experience with managing projects, contracts, contractor relationships and budgets in a similar role
The ability to create sustainable working relationships across teams with a focus on developing and modelling proactive safety leadership behaviours
Experience in creating and managing a positive team workplace culture with an emphasis on role clarity and accountability, reward/recognition and the promotion of asset ownership
A strong maintenance management background with experience leading large multidisciplinary teams in a heavy industrial environment
Tertiary / Post Graduate Qualifications are advantageous however not essential
Prior experience managing major shutdowns, annual and strategic business planning and budget processes
