Maintenance Scheduler

Job Description

We are currently seeking applications from highly skilled and safety focused Maintenance Scheduler (e.g., Instrument/Electrical, Mechanical, Scaffolding etc. preventative and corrective activity) to join our team on a full-time basis, supporting the planning & scheduling team on the Curtis Island LNG plant. This position is based in Gladstone and local candidates are encouraged to apply.

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader –the Maintenance Scheduler shall be part of a highly competent maintenance team responsible for delivery of well executed Planning and Scheduling activities (e.g., preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks) for the Curtis Island LNG Plant.

You will provide Maintenance activity Planning & Scheduling for Plant Operations in the Short-Range Planning Phase. This will support the successful delivery of routine, campaign, and package maintenance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, scheduling & optimisation of tasks associated with the Maintenance & Shutdown functions.
  • Efficient Delivery of an executable 2-week maintenance schedule
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings with operations & maintenance teams to gather input and develop high quality routine maintenance schedules
  • Supporting the 12-week & 12-month Integrated Activity Plan (Long Range Schedules)
  • Providing input to the strategic maintenance schedules within a 1 – 5-year window.
  • Liaising with Maintenance/ Engineering, Operations teams, vendors, contractors, other Planners, and support functions such as logistics and materials.
  • Upholding and ensuring compliance to all Environment, Health & Safety management systems and contribute to a strong EHS culture
  • Monitoring planning & scheduling performance measures and take action to identify opportunity and implement improvement initiatives

 Key qualification, skills & experience required:

  • Trade certification in Mechanical or Electrical discipline
  • Skilled in the use of Computerised Management Maintenance Systems (CMMS)
  • Experience using the following: SAP (preferred), Prometheus (preferred), Oracle, Primavera P6, MS Excel, MS Project
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and excellent presentation skills with a strong focus on safety, production, technical integrity, and cost
  • 5+ years planning experience in a similar hydrocarbon facility or related industry workplace
