Maintenance E&I Planner

Job Description

This opportunity as a Maintenance Planner – E/I will see you join a reputable company with a highly experienced team who work together to develop and provide solutions for our customers.

About the role

As a key member of the team, your leadership skills will ensure that all work meets the standards in relation to safety, quality, schedules and cost. You will be:

  • Accountable for developing, communicating and reporting work scope, plans, materials, resources and associated risks to generate accurate job packages for execution and contingency works.
  • Responsible to ensure all aspects of identifying, investigating, preparing, and mitigating scope risk associated with detailed planning and job package development. To work closely with the discipline engineers, maintenance coordinators and specialists to ensure the requested scope is clear and concise to safely and effectively plan and job pack the works.
  • Provide scope estimates, accurate scope activity steps, resources and duration build outs. Identify associated risks, materials, tooling and associated procedures, drawings, datasheets and documentation. These details will be uploaded and developed into SAP work orders and into the job package format including permit requests.
  • A participant during schedule optimization, HAZIDS and SIMOPs reviews.
  • The first point of contact for scope queries for the respective scope category. Effectively conduct and communicate scope discussions with the respective execution supervisor. Provide scope clarification, instruction to the supervisors in respect to job package instructions.
  • Required to liaise continuously with critical functional groups of HSE, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Operations to ensure the highest degree of integrated planning is achieved to effectively generate accurate planning and job packages to execute the works.
  • Prepare recovery plans including assisting permit adjustments or resolution of emergent work. 
  • Must be effective in building relationships, collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders

Required qualifications and education requirements

  • LNG or related experience
  • Current Electrical license
  • Technical Diploma / Trade Certificate preferred – Electrical / Instrumentation
  • A thorough understanding of planning and execution activities
  • Experienced in the use of flow diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), schematics, piping drawings, fabrication drawings, isometrics, equipment datasheets, sketches, charts etc
  • Relevant experience of process instrumentation including pressure; temperature; flow and level controls; monitoring systems; analyzers (Gas Chromatographs, moisture etc.) where used in non-custody transfers; SIS systems (specifically instrumented protective functions); PLC hardware and software.

Desirable / preferred skills

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a major Oil and Gas facility within Operations/ Maintenance/Projects
  • Industry related certificates or qualifications
  • Understanding and Knowledge of HV Isolation and Switching, Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA).
  • Good working knowledge of electrical equipment including, but not limited to, transformers, motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)’s, protection relays, load shedding, and earth ground systems.
  • Sound comprehensive base knowledge in the Instrumentation discipline with a strong knowledge base of turbine, anti-surge controls, flow & temperature transmitters/meters fire & gas panels, vibration switches/transducers.
  • Proficiency in the use of SAP
