Land Management Coordinator

Job Description


We are seeking a self-motivated and innovative Land Management Coordinator to join the Clermont Open Cut team. Reporting to the Environment & Community Manager, you will be accountable for the safe and efficient delivery of Rehabilitation and Capital Projects for the Environment & Community Department. The position requires a results oriented person with excellent communication skills who will enthusiastically accept the many challenges of this diverse and rewarding role. Along with ensuring site environmental compliance obligations are met, applicants should also have the ability to comply with the safety systems and possess excellent interpersonal and computer skills.

Core requirements of the role include demonstration of safe leadership behaviour that supports and articulates the direction and values of Clermont Open Cut. Liaising with all departments and our adjacent landholders on land management issues (fencing, livestock control, pest management) and maintain open and honest communication with the community and other stakeholder groups. The Land Management Coordinator is required to deliver work plans to budget and schedule whilst coordinating various contractor and consultant activities on site, including exploration drilling, vegetation clearing, spotter/catcher works, seeding, waste management, sediment dam construction and maintenance, fence maintenance and installation, and any other ad-hoc activities as required. You will be responsible for the scoping projects, assisting in the tendering process, planning and scheduling of rehabilitation and specialised project activities. This will also include contractor supervision during the onboarding process as well as contractor supervision during construction period. To be successful for this position, you will need previous experience/knowledge in managing such activities. You will have a proactive attitude to safety, a strong work ethic and strong leadership abilities. This role is a permanent full-time position on a 9 Day Fortnight Roster.
