About the Role

To ensure that the Company’s customers are provided with products, services, responses to queries/technical and pricing support in a timely and efficient manner.

Key areas of accountability:

  • Attending to customer enquiries, quotation requests, orders and complaints;
  • Solving customer problems and analyzing customer service requirements for communication to the Customer Service Manager and/or other departments as appropriate;
  • Maintaining Customer Contact database and keeping field sales personnel updated with customer requirements;
  • Reporting all customer complaints and service requirements to appropriate personnel in a timely manner to maximize customer satisfaction;
  • Providing internal support to sales personnel, production and warehouse facility personnel;
  • Expediting customer orders in a proactive manner;
  • Liaising with technical, costing/estimating and production departments;
  • Managing and developing customer accounts assigned by the National Sales Manager. 

About You

To be successful in this position, you would: 

  • Have several referenced years’ worth of customer service experience in related industry or mechanical/commodity sales background;
  • Have completed, minimum Year 12, ideally with English and Mathematics;
  • A positive, can do attitude and willingness to learn;
  • Be pro-active, assertive, self-motivated and able to be a strong team player;
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal and written) with people of all levels and different cultural backgrounds;
  • Have ability to work autonomously;
  • Have high attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Have commercial awareness;
  • Be computer literate with experience in ERP/CRM driven process systems;
  • Be willing to attend a pre-employment medical assessment arranged by the Company and medically assessed to be capable of fulfilling your duties;
  • Be prepared to apply for a National Police clearance (if not already in possession of one which is less than 3 months old).
