About the Role

 

Blackwater mine lies 73 kilometres south-east of Emerald in Queensland. It's one of the longest coal mines in the Southern Hemisphere, with a strike length of 80 kilometres. Both thermal and metallurgical coal are extracted using truck and shovel, as well as loader and dragline.

Working a 4/3 days only roster, we are currently seeking experienced HV Electricians to join the team at the Blackwater Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP).

Transportation to site is provided from nominated points specific to each team.

 

About You

 

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

 

  • Electrical trade qualification
  • HV switching ticket
  • Demonstrated experience with fixed plant maintenance, ideally within a CHPP environment
  • Previous experience within mining is preferred
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Effective listening and strong interpersonal skills
