Health, Safety and Training Administration Officer

About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Training Administration Officer to join our leading Mining client based within the Blackwater region for an immediate start. This position will be three to six months in duration, with a Monday to Friday roster residential or DIDO.

Reporting to the HST Superintendent, you will provide effective system and administration support to the Health, Safety and Training department and site whilst ensuring personal compliance with Safety & Health Management Systems and the Queensland Coal Mining legislation

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Actively respond to HST enquiries to all personnel both over the phone and in person in a courteous and helpful manner; promoting the client as an efficient and considerate organisation
Seek to engage, communicate and positively promote the HST team by being proactive, support queries and assisting where possible. 
Coordinate and participate in team and Department meetings.
Maintain compliance with  Safety & Health Management Systems and associated legislative requirements
Site superuser for Intelex and Pegasus. Ensure all HST data, documents and records are maintained, recorded, legible etc.
Providing system support to site including being the point of contact between site and the system, providing Pegasus and Intelex training as required and one on one support. 
Identify opportunities for improvement of the HST system and processes in place/ support the implementation of improvement strategies required
Coordinate the online leaning infrastructures (i.e. iPads)
System Management – setting up worker profiles, printing I.D. cards, allocation of roles, enrolling workers in online learning (i.e. SOP’s), resetting LMS profiles and passwords, blocking employees as requested. 
Managing Employee data - Update personnel details, provide new cards as required, maintaining training records. 
Updating TNA in the system as required. 
Maintaining site access key’s. 
Supporting Training Advisor as required. (i.e. formatting training packages, developing online learning, training in groups and or one on one training)
Maintain training room and online learning infrastructure (iPads, Computers) to ensure it is ready for use at all times with required supplies available
Manage the transition of training packages from local drive to Intelex
Assist with administration tasks in relation to training program compliance 
Process training applications
 

Skills and Experience:

Generic Surface Induction (Standard 11) 
Current Qld Driver’s License 
Current Coal Board Medical
Trainer and Assessor Qualification (desirable)
Cert III in Work Health and Safety (desirable)
Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
