Protech are seeking Experienced Production Operators for our client Thiess.
Located in Queensland’s resource-rich Bowen Basin, the QCoal Northern Hub produces hard coking and thermal coal. Thiess has a long record of service at QCoal Northern Hub, having operated at the project since 2007!
THE ROLE:
We have multiple vacancies for the following skill sets:
- Experience Haul Truck Operators
- Experienced Multi-Skilled Operators
- Experienced Excavator Operators
You will be responsible for the safe operation of heavy mobile plant onsite at Sonoma Mine. You will work collaboratively with your crew and the wider site team towards delivering safe, high-quality results. These roles are working on a 7 on 7 off, rotating day and nightshift roster (12-hour shifts).
BENEFITS:
- Haul Truck Rate: $62.98 p/h
- Multi-Skilled Rate: $66.24 p/h
- Excavator Rate: $69.50 p/h
- Even time 7:7 roster (12-hour shifts)

To be considered for these opportunities you are required to have;
- Minimum 18months open cut production mining experience on relevant machinery
- Current Driver Licence;
- Training Transcript
- Standard 11 (willing to obtain);
- Coal Board Medical (willing to obtain).
- Proof of Australian working rights;
- The ability to pass a Pre-Employment Fitness Assessment & Drug and Alcohol test prior to commencement
