The Grounds and Maintenance Officer carries out building and equipment maintenance as well as ensuring the service’s gardens and grounds are in a presentable condition for multiple sites, including a Residential Aged Care, Home Care, Communities Services and Schools based in Rockhampton.
What do I need for the role?
- Knowledge and/or significant experience in the maintenance, carpentry or building field.
- Knowledge of and experience in gardening and groundskeeping
- Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety Standards and requirements relevant to grounds and maintenance work
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment, planning and prioritising work.
- Ability to use a problem-solving approach to planning, implementation and evaluation of work situations/procedures.
Desirable:
- Able to use ride-on mowers and commercial gardening equipment.
