Grounds and Maintenance Officer

Job Description

• Permanent Part-Time role (3 days per week)
• Based in Glen Eden, a short drive from the Gladstone CBD

The Grounds and Maintenance Officer carries out building and equipment maintenance and enhances the school's facilities, grounds, gardens, and buildings, ensuring a presentable appearance for the enjoyment of students, visitors, and staff.

What do I need for the role?

  • Current Blue Card (working with Children check) and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance essential
  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Interest in horticulture and building maintenance
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety Standards applicable to this role
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team, planning, prioritising, and problem-solving work
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to positively relate to all staff, students, families (Parents/Carers) and other key stakeholder
  • Ability to work with computer programs
  • A valid Bus Licence (LR) is desirable
  • COVID-19 Vaccinations
