Job Description

Mikes Panel and Paint Repairs is seeking to hire a dynamic Foreman with exceptional communication skills and a passion for leadership. In this role you will be supporting and guiding workshop staff on day-to-day activities to ensure Key Performance Indicators are met. You will be responsible for ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and within the times allocated, ensuring that client requirements are met and ensuring that a high-level quality control for repairs is delivered to eliminate re-work and lost time. You will be the ‘go to person’ that workshop staff come to when a technical issue arises. You will need to be highly organised and trade experience would be highly beneficial.

Job Description

The Foreman is responsible for the overall department production and services as the main support for all Technicians. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Directly working with the paint and panel teams to ensure quality and efficiency requirements are adhered to
  • Ensuring processes are in place to evaluate staff, workflow, and to communicate clearly with customers
  • Creating work schedules and maintaining proper accounting of Service Technician’s productivity
  • Oversee department’s employees training and development
  • Ensures a safe working environment and proper maintenance and repair of all equipment

  • Paint and Panel experience preferred
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Be computer proficient
  • Hold a current manual driver’s license

This is a permanent full-time position (7.30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 1.30pm Friday). Remuneration will be based on skills and experience.
