Job Description

The Opportunity:

Komatsu is seeking an experienced HV Electrician to work under the direction of the Service Supervisor to maintain and repair the Komatsu range of equipment to ensure optimum quality, availability and performance. Carry out maintenance and repairs on any other equipment nominated by the Company. Actively participate in communication and data collection between Komatsu and the nominated resident technician customer base to maintain and improve relationships

Roster: 7 days on 7 days off

Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Electrical trade qualification
  • QLD Electrical License
  • HV Switching Ticket
  • Current Driver's license and driver history report
  • Must have an extensive knowledge of the repair and maintenance of earthmoving equipment and components
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work unsupervised and in remote areas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good understanding of computer systems
  • Assist the team in the planning of maintenance schedules and workload by engaging in positive communication
  • Be able to work unsupervised
  • Supply practical technical expertise and assistance to minimise equipment down time
  • Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure all required policies, procedures and resources are available prior to carrying out planned work
  • An ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Carry out downloads and analysis of on board computer systems
  • Provide a high quality standard of work and diagnosis by using the workshop manual
  • Provide well written service reports covering complaint, cause and correction
  • Current understanding of Komatsu ICT systems i.e. Komtrax, EQP Care, Link One, QLD Aftermarket Database
