Estimator / Planner

Job Description

The Opportunity:

A fantastic new opportunity is available for an Experienced Estimator / Planner to join the team at the Gladstone Branch. Reporting to the Regional Estimation Supervisor and working with the Service Supervisor and team, you will assist to ensure that all Job estimating and planning is completed in a timely and efficient manner to meet customer expectations and deadlines.


Salary/Wage Band: $105,000

Roster: Monday to Friday

Role Located: Gladstone

Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Relevant trade qualification - highly regarded
  • Experience using Estimate templates and systems
  • Proven knowledge of heavy equipment, the Komatsu business and products
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft products, including; Merchand, BW, Sharepoint and Link One preferred.
  • Ensure all estimates and fixed price service agreements are completed and entered in a timely manner
  • Monitor and update planning schedules and amend estimates as work scopes change within the repairs authorised by the customers
  • Ensure all estimates are accurate and deadlines are achieved
  • Provide a high level of customer support by:
  • Following up on estimates supplied to customers
  • Promoting the Komatsu Customer Support Charter
  • Supporting and promoting the Komatsu business positively
  • Communicate with Supervisors and Managers to ensure all requirements are met
