  • 9 Day Fortnight Roster
  • $25K Skills Allowance paid if you hold a Third-Class Ticket
  • Fully funded return flights ex Brisbane
  • $6K per annum Local Living Benefit or Camp/ meals provided
  • Based at Cook Colliery, Blackwater

About the opportunity:

Our Cook Colliery mine operation is full steam ahead hitting “first coal” in February this year and about to mobilise a second development unit in the coming months. At its peak we’ll run three (3) development panels with a workforce of 180 people strong. This role will report to our Technical Services Manager on site and provide supervision support to our growing underground mine operation.

Minimum skills and attributes we seek for an Emergency Response Coordinator:

  • Demonstrated commitment to a high performing safety culture;
  • Ideally, you will hold a Cert IV in Underground Coal Mining (3rd Class Deputies Ticket) and a comprehensive understanding of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 & Regulation 2017 and applicable Australian Standards;
  • Demonstrated Underground Coal experience in a similar role;
  • Able to hold the position of appointed Fire Officer on site;
  • Have attention to detail in reporting and good written / verbal communication skills;
  • S1,2,3 & G2 Certificates, First Aid Certificate, LVR CPR & Pain Management;
  • Stone Dusting Certificate;
  • Standard 11 Statement of Attainment;
  • Current Section 4 Health Assessment Report;
  • Valid Driver’s Licence;
  • Signed copies of training transcripts and / or authorisations.
