The Opportunity: We have multiple opportunities available for HV Electricians to join our team based the Caval Ridge site. Training will be provided for the successful applicants!
The purpose of each role is to carry out maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment, supporting 930 Electric Drive trucks and ensure excellent customer service to the Caval Ridge site.
Key duties will include:
- Lead by example of commitment to safety at all times by actively engaging in all aspects of safety and performance and ensuring a take 5 is completed for every task
- Assist the team in the planning of maintenance schedules and workload by engaging in positive communication
- Supply practical technical expertise and assistance to minimise equipment down time
- Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure all required policies, procedures and resources are available prior to carrying out planned work
- Carry out downloads and analysis of on board computer systems
- Provide well written service reports for every repair including Complaint, Cause & Correction
- Complete timesheets at the end of shift and have them signed by the customer
- Work with Komatsu Project Manager to develop preventive maintenance strategies for the drive system to assist in decreasing breakdowns related to drive system
Roster: 7/7 rotating DS/NS roster
Salary: $160 588.91 plus Superannuation plus allowances ($20 pw tool allowance & $80 pw HV allowance)

What we are looking for:
- Trade qualification as an Electrical Fitter or equivalent. Must have current appropriate state Electrical Licence
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral to effectively communicate with customers and personnel at all levels.
- An excellent understanding and commitment to Safety
- Must have a working knowledge local and mine specific, Environment, OH&S, and Industrial legislation
- Ability to analyse technical problems and suggest remedies
- Ability to read and understand Electrical and Mechanical Drawings
- Appropriate demeanour to create a positive “team atmosphere”
- Ability to work safely under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must have a current drivers licence
- Previous experience with Komatsu equipment including Electrical Drive Off Highway Trucks
- Sound Trouble Shooting Skills
- Previous exposure to KAL Maintenance and Operational Policies
